Blood test showed IgG antibodies against herpes simplex in 29.9...

I took a blood test, and it showed herpes simplex antibodies IgG at 29.9. What does that mean? Do I have herpes?

It means that you have been in contact with the herpes virus, which more than 90% of the population has. Once we come into contact with the virus, it stays in the body and often never manifests.

Whether the virus will manifest in you cannot be predicted. In some cases, it may appear as small grouped blisters, and it can occur anywhere on the body, but it is more common on the lips and genital area (depending on the type of herpes virus).

If you don’t have any lesions, the virus has not manifested itself.

Now it’s important to take the test results to the doctor who requested it for more information about your condition!”
